Children need to bring in their reading folder and diary daily. Weekly spellings and homework will be sent home each Monday.
Our PE Days will be on Monday and Friday. Children are asked to come into School in their PE kits these days.
Year 4 will be swimming every Friday for the first Half term. They will need to bring their swimming kits to school with them.
How we help children learn
We support children to learn by helping them retrieve their prior learning. We add our new learning and sticky knowledge to this so that we develop a strong and meaningful schema - this is shown on our schema walls in the classroom. It means that the children are able to know more and remember more of their learning. We help them to ignite their schema by interconnecting the curriculum and by using what is familiar to them within their locality.
Times Table Check Year 4
In Year 4 your child will understake the National Multiplication Check. Please see the attached handout for information about the times tables your child is expected to know by the end of Year 3 and resources to support. It is important that your child is accessing Times Table Rockstars regularly to support with this
